The Graduate College offers 87 master’s degree programs covering a broad spectrum of academic disciplines. The college also offers eight doctoral programs in geography, education, aquatic resources, mathematics education and physical therapy.
The Graduate College is committed to delivering a wide range of quality degree programs and a flexible class schedule to accommodate your needs. Students enjoy seminar-sized classes that meet at convenient times — mostly late afternoons and evenings — and in convenient locations. Classes meet at our main campus along the San Marcos River or at our off-campus sites in San Antonio and in Austin/Round Rock. The Round Rock Higher Education Center (RRHEC) serves North Austin and Round Rock. This state-of-the-art facility is conveniently located off I-35. Select programs offer the latest in alternative delivery, with classes conducted via the Internet or interactive television. Regardless of the delivery system, graduate faculty are committed to engaging students in cutting-edge research, supported by the most up-to-date technology and instructional strategies. Degree-seeking applicants to the Graduate College must submit a Graduate College application, a $40 nonrefundable application fee and official transcripts. International students, in addition to the above documents, must submit a $50 international fee, and results from the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL), the Test of Spoken English (TSE), and/or the Test of Written English (TWE). F-1 Visa students need proof of sufficient financial resources.

Teaching and research assistantships offer students the opportunity to earn a stipend while gaining teaching experience. You can obtain information and application forms from your program advisor or department.

Texas State Graduate College Scholars Program and Texas State Celebrity Classic Scholarships
These scholarships are awarded competitively each year through the Texas State Graduate Scholars Program and the Texas State Celebrity Classic Scholarships. You must enroll in a minimum of six graduate hours or course work per semester. Awards range from $1,000 to $2,500 per semester. These scholarships require a cumulative undergraduate GPA of 3.5 or higher and a minimum 3.75 on the last 60 hours of course work leading to your first bachelor's degree. If you meet this requirement and have taken graduate courses, you must also have a 3.5 or higher GPA on all graduate work.
College Graduate Scholarships
Seven academic colleges offer scholarships. A minimum enrollment of six graduate hours of course work per semester is required. Awards range from $1,000 to $2,000 per semester. Scholarship requirements include a minimum GPA of 3.5 on the last 60 hours of course work leading to your first bachelor's degree. Additional eligibility requirements and application deadlines vary by college.
