Care Webinars

The Brilliant Bobcats College Success Workshop Series has transitioned into the Dean of Students Compassion, Advocacy, Resources, and Education (CARE) Center. The CARE Center provides Care Webinars as a service to help you build skills for a successful semester at Texas State.

Care Webinars are focused on teaching students various strategies and skills for college success. Webinars are self-paced learning videos that can be watched from anywhere at any time. Complete the associated webinar activities to practice your new skills. Watch our available webinars and recorded workshops below!

Study Skills and Techniques for Success (33:59 minutes)

Studying in college is no easy feat. If you find yourself struggling to study or develop effective study techniques, you are not alone. Watch this webinar to learn more about common reasons college students struggle with studying, followed by understanding how you learn, how to prepare for studying, the process of studying, and some study techniques.

When unexpected events occur in our lives that impact our financial stability, we can often become overwhelmed about managing our money. Managing finances during times of financial strain and uncertainty can be daunting, but we are here to help! Watch this recorded workshop to hear from the Office of Financial Aid and Scholarships about strategies for budgeting and managing your money when funds are tight.

Complete the free VIA Character Strengths Survey to get to know your greatest strengths. Once you have completed the survey, complete the associated exploration activity.
